Day of Action

United Way of Western CT fights for the health, education and financial stability of every person in Western Connecticut, with a focus on hard-working, struggling households that we call ALICE®  (Asset Limited, Income, Constrained, Employed).

At the heart of United Way’s strength are our dedicated volunteers--the hand raisers who step up to provide help and hope to those in our community who are struggling.

On Day of Action 2019, we will mobilize volunteers in a variety of large-scale projects to beneft ALICE in Stamford.

Wednesday, October 30, 2019

Corporate volunteer groups will engage in a STEM Street Fair with custom activities for local elementary and middle school children, a mobile children’s library book distribution, and improvement projects at local nonprofits.

We're still looking for book donations for the Mobile Library, so children can select books to enjoy at home.  Browse our Amazon wishlist
