Volunteers

Volunteering changes lives and builds happier, stronger communities.

Last year, United Way of Western Connecticut volunteers from ages 11-93 logged in more than 8,000 hours helping the communities we serve.

People volunteered in a variety of ways—from giving out fresh food at our Mobile Food Pantries, to reading to at-risk preschool children. Here are the ways we are supporting volunteerism in our communities:

CORPORATE VOLUNTEERISM
More than ever, employees are interested in making an impact in their communities.Through events such as Day of Action and activities created just for your work site--such as assembling literacy kits--United Way makes it easy for company employees to be vital contributors to the life of the community while still working full-time. >>Learn more
