Last year, United Way of Western Connecticut volunteers from ages 11-93 logged in more than 8,000 hours helping the communities we serve. People volunteered in a variety of ways—from giving out fresh food at our Mobile Food Pantries, to reading to at-risk preschool children. Places volunteer readers in preschools to support early literacy and learning. Twenty one volunteers connected with 600 preschoolers last year. >>Learn more
Places senior volunteers in Danbury City Departments and nonprofit agencies. Seniors who complete 100 hours of service receive a $700 property tax credit. >>Learn More
